The National University Championship – NUC 2024 marked an impressive journey for the USTH Basketball Team, from the opening games to securing a place in the Quarterfinals.
From the preparation stage, the team demonstrated strong determination, disciplined training, and readiness to compete at their best. This season’s roster featured a balanced mix of experienced players and promising newcomers, forming a dynamic and high-potential lineup.
USTH made a strong start with a narrow victory over the Military Medical University (42–40) in their opening game. Maintaining their momentum, the team went on to secure a convincing win against FPT University (32–23), finishing at the top of Group B.
The team continued to showcase resilience in the knockout stage. The Round of 16 match against Thuong Mai University (TMU) became one of the most intense games of the tournament. With both sides battling point by point, the game extended into double overtime. Demonstrating composure and determination, USTH claimed a 51–47 victory, officially advancing to the Quarterfinals.
Throughout the tournament, the team showed clear improvement in technical skills, teamwork, and competitive mindset. Spectacular plays, accurate three-point shots, and an unwavering fighting spirit delivered exciting and emotional moments for the audience.
Beyond results, the NUC 2024 journey stands as a testament to unity, dedication, and the ambition of the USTH Basketball Team.
The support from coaches, team members, and especially the enthusiastic fans played a crucial role, providing strong motivation in every game.
