About UCC (a.k.a Programming Club)
UCC – USTH Coders Club is the programming club of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH). Established in April 2021, UCC is one of the newest clubs at USTH, operating under the management of the ICT Department and led by outstanding students from ICT and Computer Science majors.
Recognizing the rapid development of the Information Technology field, UCC was founded with the mission of improving students’ competencies, inspiring current and future USTH students, and creating a supportive environment where students from all faculties and disciplines can easily access programming, develop their skills, and nurture their passion for coding and its applications.
With core values of Professionalism, Bonding, and Innovation, UCC aims to build a professional working environment led by experienced leaders, helping members enhance their capabilities for future careers.
At UCC, we care not only about talent but also about members’ well-being. Alongside engaging training sessions are “intense” bonding activities that strengthen team spirit and unity. Continuously seeking challenges through projects using the latest technologies is also an essential part of UCC’s commitment to innovation and staying up to date with global trends.
Activities
UCC has organized many exciting programming-related activities such as Facebook Quiz Campaigns, academic support webinars, and seminars on topics like building Discord bots, among others.
In addition, UCC maintains its own website where members publish high-quality programming blogs.
Achievements
In 2021, UCC participated in a government initiative to develop a website that allows children and adults to report child abuse content and activities. The project was completed in less than two weeks and received recognition from VNCERT – Vietnam’s national cybersecurity authority.
The website was featured on VTV1 and covered by reputable media outlets such as Vietnamnet, VTV, and An Ninh Thủ Đô.
