On September 10, 2024, University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province and ExploraScience Quy Nhon, continuing to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two sides in the upcoming time.
Attending the Signing Ceremony, on behalf of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province and ExploraScience Quy Nhon, was Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha – Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa – Director of ExploraScience Quy Nhon, Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang Son – Deputy Director of ExploraScience Quy Nhon, Ms. Do Thi Thanh Nhan – Deputy Head of Administration Department, Mr. Le Quang Thuy – Expert; on the side of USTH, was Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Dr. To Thi Mai Huong – Deputy Head of Department of Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer – Director of USTH Innovation Hub – UIH, Dr. Phan Thanh Hien – lecturer of Department of Space and Applications, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Head of Department of International Cooperation.
After the introduction and welcome to the delegates attending the ceremony, representatives of USTH and the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province and ExploraScience Quy Nhon shared their thoughts in this important signing ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector of USTH and Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha – Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province both expressed their delight at the new step in the cooperation between USTH and ExploraScience Quy Nhon as well as the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province. USTH and ExploraScience Quy Nhon have accompanied many scientific activities, such as international scientific conferences, summer classes for students, especially in the fields of Biology, Remote Sensing, Space, … The signing ceremony marks an important milestone in the long-term strong relationship between the parties, contributing to consolidating and developing more diverse cooperative activities in the coming time. Also, representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province and ExploraScience Quy Nhon hoped that this would be an opportunity to exchange with USTH’s specialized departments. Besides, Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha – Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province expected this to be a premise for local cooperation plans between France and Vietnam in the future.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha have officially signed a cooperation agreement, promising successful scientific projects in the future, contributing to the development of the country’s science.
| The ExploraScience and Innovation Center – ExploraScience Quy Nhon was officially established on December 24, 2015, as an organizational unit under the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province. It is the first place in Vietnam dedicated to bringing science to the public and fostering a love for science, especially among the youth. The initial satellite component following the important nucleus factor was the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), inaugurated in August 2013. This was a step towards planning and developing the Quy Hoa Science Urban Area in the city of Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province, aimed at transforming Quy Nhon into a distinctive science and education destination in Vietnam. |
