On October 26th, 2022, a cooperation agreement between University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) and Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam (BGSV) was officially signed.
Participating in the ceremony, on USTH’s side was Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Dr. Tran Giang Son – Co-Director of Department of Information and Communication Technology, Dr. Pham Xuan Tung – lecturer of Department of Energy, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Nga – Head of Department of Student Affairs, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nhi – officer of Department of International Cooperation; on BGSV’s side was Mr. Dattatreya Gaur – Managing Director, Mr. Gibson Brendan – Head of Department of Driver Experience, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang, Head of Department of Human Resources, Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai – Engineering Manager in Mobility Engineering Solutions, Mr. Tran Hieu – Engineering Manager in Mobility Engineering Solutions, Ms. Nguyen Hai Ly – Deputy Manager of Human Resources.
After introducing and welcoming the delegates attending the meeting, the representatives of USTH and BGSV made remarks on the cooperation between two parties.
Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector of USTH expressed his delight at the milestone in the partnership between USTH and BGSV. Professor affirmed that this cooperation brings opportunities and benefits for both USTH students and the company. BGSV can understand more about USTH students, what knowledge/skills they have learnt and what they should improve to be ready for their future career. On the other hand, USTH students, especially students in the field of ICT and energy, can get the chance to experience the professional working environment in BGSV, one of the leading companies in software technology.
On behalf of BGSV, Mr. Dattatreya Gaur – Managing Director also expressed his happiness to be present at the signing ceremony and emphasized that this will be a remarkable event in the cooperation relationship between USTH and BGSV. He highlighted that this is a step in the long-term cooperation and a brilliant beginning for the success of the cooperation plan in the coming time.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, reviewed the joint activities which were co-organized by BGSV and USTH such as USTH Internship and Career Day 2022, meetings, scientific seminar: “Mechatronics and Robot”, career talk. All of the events were very attractive and received good feedback from USTH students and lecturers.
About the details of the MoU, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang, Head of Human Resources, shared that BGSV and USTH will cooperate in training, knowledge exchange between experts and lecturers, career talks, joint practical projects and scholarships for excellent students. Especially, she affirmed that BGSV will operate BGSV academy where students are trained before graduation in order to be ready to work immediately after joining the company, instead of 6-month training as newcomers at the company.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Mr. Dattatreya Gaur has signed the cooperation agreement between USTH and BGSV. This MoU opens up research, internship and career opportunities for USTH students as well as great chances for BGSV to approach talents, collaborate in research, shorten fresher training period and enhance company branding. This is a milestone in the long-term cooperation relationship between USTH and BGSV and a promise to successful joint activities in the future.
