Dao Dinh Thien, a third-year Bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering student specializing in Operations, has achieved an impressive milestone by securing an internship scholarship from GIFAS worth €2,634. This prestigious scholarship allows Thiện to embark on a four-month internship at ISAE-Supméca, a leading engineering institute in Paris, France.
A Remarkable Academic Journey
During his studies at USTH, Dao Dinh Thien has always affirmed his outstanding ability and spirit of continuous learning. In the first two years, Thien excellently maintained the top 1 position thanks to his persistent efforts and enthusiastic support from AE lecturers. These impressive achievements helped Thien receive the A1 level study encouragement scholarship (the highest level) for two consecutive academic years, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. In addition, in 2024, Thien was honored to be one of 12 USTH students to receive the prestigious Odon Vallet scholarship.
Currently, Thien continues his academic excellence in his third year and has triumphantly secured the GIFAS internship scholarship. This achievement is not only a testament to his relentless efforts but also marks a significant turning point, granting him a valuable opportunity to hone his knowledge and skills in an international environment at ISAE-Supméca in Paris, France.
Sharing about his academic journey, Thien said: “Discipline and a willingness to learn are the most important factors. I always prepare thoroughly for my lessons, never hesitate to ask questions when in doubt, and seek international materials to supplement my knowledge. Additionally, encouragement from faculty members to participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and real-world projects has helped me gain valuable experience.”
Bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering Program at USTH – A Launchpad for Success
According to Thien, the bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering program at USTH is scientifically designed with a balance between theory and practice. Students not only learn from the most modern curriculum but also participate in practical projects right from the first years of study. This supports students in gaining a deeper understanding of specialized knowledge and having the opportunity to apply it to practical situations.
The program also focuses on training soft skills, teamwork ability, and creative thinking. In particular, lecturers always encourage and create conditions for students to participate in international internship programs to broaden their horizons, improve their professional capacity, and gain experience in a global working environment. These experiences are the launching pad for students, like Thien, to build a solid foundation for their career journey.
A Dream Internship for Aspiring Aerospace Enthusiasts
The internship at ISAE-Supméca is a golden opportunity for Thien to approach advanced technologies in mechanics and aviation, learn more about the product design and development process, and practice in a professional environment. This is also an opportunity for Thien to build a valuable network of connections, opening up many prospects for his future career.
ISAE-Supméca (Institut Supérieur de Mécanique de Paris)is one of France’s leading engineering institutions, renowned for its mechanics, mechatronics, and digital technology expertise. With a focus on developing complex products, the institute is a center for in-depth research and training, serving important industries such as aviation, railways, automobiles, space, and medicine. This is truly a dream destination for any engineering student, where advanced knowledge and outstanding development opportunities converge.
Once again, congratulations to Dao Dinh Thien! Hope Thien will have a successful internship and continue to shine on his career path!
