Seminar “Agile project management and application of the emerging information systems software engineering”


From 5th- 7th March 2019, Student Services Department in collaboration with International Cooperation Unit successfully organized Seminar “Agile project management and application of the emerging information systems software engineering” with the participation of many students from all Departments, especially from ICT.

The speaker of the seminar is Doctor Justas Trinkunas from Vinius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. Dr. Justas Trinkunas is working as a lecturer and scientist at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), Information Systems Department, Lithuania.

Founded in 1956, VGTU is one of Lithuania's largest public university in the field of technology and engineering. According to the QS World University Rankings - one of the three most-widely read university rankings in the world, VGTU is in the top 4% of world universities. Besides, QS gave the university five stars in teaching, facilities and innovation. VGTU has produced many high-profile alumni in Lithuania, including several prime Ministers, President and politicians of Lithuania.

With a wealth experience working as information systems project manager in e-health sector,  Prof Trinkunas presented the application of emerging information systems software engineering to well manage a project. To specify, he indicated how to analyse and identify key stakeholder needs, prepare and specify detailed user stories in Jira system for cross-functional teams, prepare, maintain and prioritise product backlog and assure quality of the product...

All students are very pleased to participated in the seminar. They gave a lot of concern related to Agile Project towards Doctor.

At the end of the course, students shared what they acquired and absorbed. More importantly, many certificates of participation are presented to pupils who have a great contribution to the seminar.
