Master of Science Aeronautics and Space International Air Transport Operation

1. OVERALL CONTEXT

The Master of Science Aeronautics and Space International Air Transport Operation (IATOM) is a track of the Master of Science in Aeronautics and Space delivered by ENAC and 4 engineering schools (ISAE, INSA, INP, Mines Albi) in Toulouse within the new higher education policy in France. Particularly ENAC delivers 3 tracks, among six tracks:
  •  IATOM: International Air Transport Operation Management
  •  ASNAT: Aerospace System – Navigation and Telecommunications
  •  ASATM: Aerospace System – Air Traffic Management (under development)

2. MASTER IATOM OBJECTIVES

  • The Master IATOM aims at training future high standard managers in aviation industry for Airlines, Airport, aerospace manufacturers and sub-contractors, authorities and Air Navigation Services Providers. Master develops competences and skills in a large range of fields related to the operations and management of Air Transport Systems.
  • The purpose of the master IATOM is to deliver fundamentals in aerospace engineering – aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, flight mechanics, aircraft structures, navigation systems, competencies in the use of new generation of programming tools, and more globally in the overall ait transport industry environment.
  • The master IATOM offers concentration courses on economic and technical knowledge to allow graduates to acquire a solid understanding of Air Transport Systems, particularly all knowledge related to airworthiness, operations, aeronautical maintenance and management of Airlines within complex economic and competitive global market.
  • The master IATOM is organised in common core program and options in order to satisfy business need and to give graduates specialisation strengthening their employment after completion of master courses.

3. INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Air transport industry is a global dynamic market, over past 30 years global air Transport industry have seen remarkable evolution particularly in Asia-Pacific region. For many years ahead, airlines and more globally air transport industry qualified staff in operations, maintenance.
  • ENAC is well aware of these global tremendous, and has developed ties with aviation industry, or authorities, universities worldwide in order to develop a amazing network of partnerships around the master IATOM with top international universities. The master IATOM strengthened with partners such as HKUST, BEIHANG, ITB, PSUAD, USTH aims at training future international key players of the aviation industry able to face the challenging changes and competition.
